Audio Updates
It's another summer and time to make some changes to my audio system. I'm losing track of how many times I've done this. On top I rewrapped the beauty board in white vinyl. Underneath I added some goodies and did a complete re-wiring of the amp rack. I purchased a MiniDSP audio processing unit which adds a 2 way active crossover, a 6 band Parametric EQ for each of the 4 channels and time delay for each channel. Many other functions are available. It’s like an Audison Bit-one on a budget. A full review by member bikinpunk of DIYMA is available here.

Due to the low output level of the MiniDSP I added 2 Phoenix Gold TLD22 line drivers to boast the signal going to the Alpine amps. With the help from the line drivers the gains on the amps are now set to their lowest levels.
Up front I’ve been experimenting with tweeter positions. I found the best position these CDT TW-25 tweeters are out of the dash and pointing directly at the listener. Reflections off the glass have been reduced. It gives me a much a higher soundstage and better imaging. I'll keep these until I fabricate some new tweeters into the pillars. (next summer)
The only thing left is to tie down a couple more wires and cover the back beige board in white to match the rest. I'll add some lighting around the amps for effect.
And yes more and more tuning and tweaking.

Looks great Mike. Tweeter pods for the pillars shouldn't be that hard. Then it will look as good as it sounds. Trunk is very clean, but all your designs look good to me. I still haven't heard your system.
I seen your post in the BBQ meet thread we're having at the end of this month. Hope you can come through and demonstrate your sounds.
