Audio set up input ...

hey whats up guys ? as time goes on im getting more and more fed up with the sound quality and just the entire audio set up that comes stock on the TL ( besides the NAVI ) , so its time for an upgrade.
im thinking about going with the JL Audio c5 650 series for the fronts and rears and will most likely do a sub in the trunk plus replace the free air one on the back deck , any recommendations on parts or any helpful info ? im looking for a loud crisp sound with a hard kick of bass.
thank you
also share if u have a set up and what components ... thanx again

Lots of opinions on this stuff, but here is mine.

I will assume that you budge is fairly flexible since you didn't post one. You will get even more opinions based on a budget amount.

Get a high quality processor - Fosgate 3sixty.2 would be my choice.

I would not run the rear sub in addition to one in the trunk - instead, remove it and let the bass pass through the vacated hole.

Although I do like JL stuff, I think that you can do better than the c5-650s. For the money, I would get some Rainbows, Focals or Image Dynamics... or any other higher-end component set. The c5s are good to very good (again, to my ears), but there are very good to excellent sets out there for the same money or a little bit more.

I don't care for too much of a rear stage, so I didn't do anything with my stock rear speakers - they just fill some sound and run stock. Some people want more from back there and some people don't. I would spend the money that you were going to spend on rear speakers and put it towards a better set of fronts.

If you don't care about trunk space, I would get a single 12" SSA Xcon, FI BTL, or DD at about 1500W ported or bandpassed through the ski pass and up through the old sub hole - lots of posts on here if you read around. If you want room in the trunk, then a single high-powered (1000-1200W) 12 in a sealed fiberglass box in the back corner of the trunk.

Here is my stuff:
3sixty.2
Focal K2P in stock front locations run active off of JL 450/4 - I like to give more wattage to the midbass than I can get using the crossovers. People think that I am crazy for running the K2P active, but the bandpass on the 450/4 is quite good and I think that the midbass is awesome with higher power.
12" FI Q in Audio Integrations Fiberglass box at almost 3 ohms and 1300 watts using Fosgate 1500.1bdcp. Currently, I have it off of LOC from the rear sub location - for some reason, I have not changed it yet. Stock sub is out. Dynamat in doors, but none in trunk - took weights out of trunk door and did usual stuff to read deck lid with minimal rattles and great sound - I might deaden the trunk later on.

Read a bunch of stuff - there are no right answers as long as you are happy.

Why get a component set if you recommend a processor?

If he goes the processor route, raw drivers would be the way to go.
