Audio input for DVD

I have seen posts from people converting the Navi to DVD, and wonder how they connect the audio?. I purchased Vskolov's Navi converter but I need to connect audio.

Blitzsafe's mailbox is full so emails get bounced back. Anyone have an update on their adapter?

I know the AVelectronics kit does audio on its own.

But how are people using Vskolov's unit hooking up the audio? I read something vague about going through the XM channel. But the only thing I can find is an FM modulator.

The avelectronics doesnt do audio on its own. I thought it did when I purchased it. It comes through the xm I will post up a schematic that avelectronics emailed me.

We took an RCA cable and spliced it into the xm to make it go in and out of the "brain" of the video system.

That's the schematic right there. That's all they emailed me... if you have an audio installer installing it they will understand it. As far as pics, when I open the trunk back up for the backup cam and other seat monitors Iw ill try to snap some pics.

That Pic you are linking to ClubRSX isnt coming through. I'm not a member there and when I try to access the pic directly it tells me I have to be a member.

Email it to me (address in your PMs) and I will rehost.

I'm assuming you lose the use of XM. Since the XM and DVD would be broadcasting a signal at the same time. Or does the AVelectronic brain seperate the signal?

The avelectronics unit seperates the signal. It comes with a remote with four buttons. You hit the "1" button and it switches the video and signal. So I still have full use of XM, but at half the volume.

I think i found a solution for the XM issue Josh, we can test it when you get your camera in and we pull it apart again
