Audio Equipment I've decided on. Thoughts?

I currently have this thread going

https://acurazine.com/forums/newrepl...ply&p=10936092

But now this is what it has come down too. What are your thoughts on this setup? Trying to go for a nice clean, thumping system to listen to all kinds of music.

Front Doors and Tweeters
Alpine SPR-17S

Rear Deck Speakers
Alpine SPR-17C

Sound Processor
Rockford Fosgate 3SIXTY.2 ( WITH 2 IN MODEL )

Subwoofer
Kicker L7 12" dual 4 Ohm, wired to 2 Ohm

Subwoofer Amp
MRP-M1000 alpine, 1000W @ 2ohm

Mids and highs Amp

Alpine MRP-F550, 90x4 @ 4ohms

So whatcha think?

properly installed it should sound pretty darn good.

one thing I would sugest, work on to get all the rattles out. if you do not, you may be unpleased with your sub performance.

Shop around for the Alpine SPX17PRO, I found a deal at work for 269.00 cost (whoops I shouldn't say I work for Honda Motor)

these guys are cheap too.

Well I should have said a budget was there too! This sounds awesome bro, But honestly way over my budget + I already have the L7 and the M1000 in the car. Just looking for a upgrade with some good sound, Nothing Show quality or Show sound quality

Also what's the difference between the 3sixty.1 to the .2?

I would

ditch the rears, bridge that 4 channel the the fronts, fully deaden that door. what kinda box you plan to throw that l7 in? they don't like small enclosures

So why ditch the rear speakers? Would it sound unbalanced? Ive heard this before, But like I said I want a even clean sound ot atleast try to get one. Also the box is a sealed 1.20 CbFt.

Now Im debating between Alpine mids and highs vs Boston Acoustics.

if installed correctly, i would say it will be a decent sounding system. however, if you ewre my customer, i would change a few things...

not knowing your budget, its hard for me to say exactly but:

1. the 360.2 is far from being my favorite processor. its not a very clean piece IMO. i have done five 3rd gen TLs for example, four of which featured very similar if not identical gear EXCEPT for the processor. the one that used the 360.2, was very distinctively not as open or clean sounding. of course, it being the cheapeast option among hte digital dsps makes it an attractive choice. i prefer the zapco dsp6 by far, as the TL doesnt need any auto flattening when tapped before the amp.

2. i too suggest ditching the rear speakres, it wont make any difference to the sound upfront, only pull everyhting backwards, i suggest just leaving the stocks in place.

3. i would then use the money saved on the rears to get some better front speakres. something good enough to use your four channel amp to go fully active, something the 360.2 and its peers allow you to do.

4. the L7 isnt my favorite sub either, its loud sure, but transients is pretty poor and overall tonality isnt great. something along the lines of image dynamics IDQ would be nicer, or if you have the budet, an idmax would match the outout of hte l7 if not better, while sounding better still.

the rest are small things, such as instead of going 1000 watts on the sub, i would get either single amp option that sends more power to the front (provided you get better speakres), and say 600 or so to the sub.

basically, the end result is a better overall sounding system.

just my opinion.

Thank you bro! Well here is the deal. I already have the L7/sealed Box and the M1000 Amp. So I would like to work woth that for now atleast.

What fronts would you suggest? My budget for the processor/fronts/Amp is about a Grand take or give a little. Any help would be appreciated!

I was going to go with the Matching 600W alpine amp for the fronts. MRP-F600.

The only reason I'm going with the 3sixty.1 is its cheap, The system in place for the TL doesn't need all that EQ (3sixty.2). The other reason I'm using the rockford piece is its temporary. In a month or 2 when I can afford to get tuning and the Audison Bit One or a Zapco DSP6 put in. I'll post pic's once my pillars are done with the 3ways in place in the front.
