Audio and Dvd setup suggestions.

Hi i am currently looking to get a Headunit and a subwoofer installed in my car.I have a 2004 non navi TL. Currently have Dvd player under seat and 2 TVs in headrest and 1 on passenger visor. So i kinda want to upgrade a bit..And needed some help.

I looking to purchase the following

JL W7 12 inch in HO box Dimensions: 34"L x 20.5"W x 17"H and JL 1000/1 Amp
KENWOOD DNX5120 aftermarket Navi with Dvd player (My current dvd player will be taken out and exisiting tvs hooked into this?)
Kenwood KCA-IP300V for playing my itouch videos on the headunit screen?

Now my questions are would that subwoofer box fit in my trunk? Im not sure where to measure to see if it will fit or not.
Next question is i know i wouldnt need my Dvd player anymore after i get the headunit. Connecting my exisiting Tvs wouldnt be a problem with the headunit right? Also without a headunit double din kit for the TL's would it be difficult to fit the Kenwood aftermarket Navi headunit? Would i still have the top screen with the AC and and bluetooth and just lost the bottom cd player and factory headunit? Would the headunit fit or how hard is it to make a custom one? Any Navi+Dvd Headunit suggestions?

ANy help would be nice. Thinking to purchase these on Monday or tuesday.

Thank you.

You can make the DVD player fit. It will take some customer work but I have seen a few others on the site make it happen. You will need to get Y adapters to split the output video signal to the three other screens. But it can work. You will need to measure the opening of the trunk or if you measure inside the trunk to see if you can put the box in long ways then move it into place once it is in the trunk

A double din will fit but a custom dash kit will need to be made to make it look pretty. You'll have to deal with the 2 knob cutouts.

Without the stock HU you will loose the bluetooth and DVD audio. But I'm assuming the new HU has bluetooth.

You will need to wire the new HU into the existing stock speakers, Not sure if the stock speakers will be happy with the new HU. The stock amp sits on right side passenger footwell. The plugs for the radio in and the speaker out wire can be spliced there.

The LCD display will not longer display the radio info since it is not the stock radio. You will need to retain the LCD and the circuit board behind it for the AC to work properly.

As for the sub I would suggect you cut out some cardboard panels to your dimensions and test fit them in the trunk.

Good Luck, Let us see it when it's finished.
