anyone try out the jl twk88

im thinking of getting the jl twk88. currently I have the factory navigation, bypassed factory amp to a jl xd 400.4 and infinity kappa6011cs components up front. from what I have read from other members our factory headunit has a pretty flat signal so I would not need anything like a cleansweep or the newer version fix86. ive read that adding a dsp will bring a setop like mine to life so to speak.
has anyone had the opportunity to test out the twk88 yet. any input would be great.

Jl makes good stuff.

On a side note that unit is 429 at crutchfield.com and 629 at crutchfield.ca.... Grrrrr.....

I have my eyes on a minidsp 6 to 8 for this spring.

grrrrrr....

looks like the minidsp is similar to the jl twq but with a lower price. think i might look into that dsp.

Not familiar except from what I have read about it. You cant find these sorts of things up in my area and I dont know anyone w external processing except for jl clean sweep. I have worked on a system in my old car which sounded pretty amazing when that car got totaled... I got a new one but have only done deadening so far... Still have my jl hd 900/5 and some nvx xsp tweeters which fit nicely in the stock dash locations with a little bit of cutting of some materials in those holes. Also have an old hertz hx 250d sub in a sealed box..... Have been planning on getting that minidsp for my new install this spring... Also gonna pick up a set of dayton audio rs180-4s and move my sub system to an infinite baffle config with either two 12" or 15" subs.

From what I can tell they both should be pretty good... I just think the minidsp is probably a better value since it doesnt have the jl name.
