Anyone here using a Audison Bitone?
I am looking at upgrading from a 3sixty.2 to an Bitone. Anyone here using one? Would love to ask alot of questions about the Bitone.
My current setup goes like this:
Front:
Focal k2p Upgraded version, with the addition of the 3'' Utopia Mid, and Beryllium tweeters
Rear:
Focal k2p Upgraded version.
Sub: 13.5 JL W7
Sound Processor Currently: 3sixty.2
Amps:
JL 450/4
JL 1000/1
Can all you audio gurus please chime in. Would like to ditch all the crossovers and run an fully active system.

I want to run a fully active setup. Plus the 3sixty.2 only has 6 outputs. I need to know if I can run a fully active setup with the bitone and control all those speakers. I have a total of 13 speakers including the sub.
I know they made some changes with them since the first versions came out, which have made them better units.
Are you planning on running the rear fill active? IMO, that's overkill...the majority of the SQ setups don't even use rear fill. Rear fill ruins your staging. If you go active up front, you can get away w/ a smaller 4 channel (tweets and mids) and a bigger 2 channel (midbass), a 2 channel for the rear fill (run passive), and a sub amp. That would only put you using 5 inputs.
I don't think the Audison Bitone is $400-$500 better than the 3Sixty.2. You should also look into Audiocontrol units.

even though some sq guys are running midbass in the rear

Tell me whatcha think?
I was down to a bitone and the Zapco DSP6. After all the issues I read about with the software on the early bitones I went w/ the DSP6 (still waiting to install). From what I read now the bitone software glitches have been fixed. It has a ri-dic-u-lous amount of processing capability. The 3sixty isn't even in the same class as the bitone. If you can get a hook up price in it I'd say go for it.

you can wait and get ZAPCO DSP-8 or wait for JBL processor or use 2 3Sixty.2's and one 3Sixty.1,

Recommended by Robert at Zapco, The amps can be less or more your choice, also this is an ultra complicated system, especially in tuning, but state of the art in sound
Here is what I would recommend
200.2 >ch5/6 DSP6> REAR FILL (dynaudio system 340)
350.2 >CH1/2 DSP6> MID OF (dynaudio system 360)
DC200.2 TWT OF (dynaudio system 360)
DC360.4>CH3/4 DSP6> BRIDGED TO MID BASS (dynaudio system 360)
DC500.1 JL12W6
screw the bit one more trouble than its worth.

BTW...there is no telling when the JBL unit will come out. I've been waiting since '07. It will be "THE" unit, if it ever comes out
yeah, that thing is like a unicorn in the car audio world. I actually got a chance to listen to an early prototype in a Volvo (I believe it was/is Andy's) like 3 or 4 years ago. I was really impressed...now if they can just get the thing to market!
Andy has been doing some trouble testing so when they finally release it, hopefully all the bugs will be worked out. When they unveil it at CES, I'll start getting excited.
I will be changing that to possibly some nice mids with decent range,
