Anyone ever pulled the wires out of a tweeter?
Just wondering if I should waste my time trying to open this thing up. I made an extremely dumbass mistake and pulled the wires out of my ID ctx tweeter. Probably going to buy a new set and maybe sell one of the new ones.
These are silk dome. I've never opened one up but I think the wires go directly into the dome in which case it would be torn but I'm not positive.

I would try to take it apart. What do you have to lose, probably plan on throwing it out anyways? When I got my dvd player, I reorganized the circuit boards inside and just got some 6" lcd monitors and already tore them apart....lol.
Kinda off topic but how did you install your new tweeters? Did you tap the lines from the connector to the new tweeter? Also which color wire is +/-? I have a multimeter but cannot find a ground anywhere around the factory tweeter location to test the wires. Thanks!~

just open them, if the wire is torn you can splice it with a wire tap or solder (much better solution)
most likely it was connected to a post which it ripped off of, or it will be pulled out of the dome which may be beyond repair.
