Do yourself a favor, GET ONE THAT ALREADY HAS IT !
That way, you won't be one of the 10's of 1000's that didn't who wound up banging their heads into wall after-wards wishing they had.

Why do you think the vast majority of used 3G TL's out there for sale are non-Navi's?

I would have bought one with Navi but I didn't because I had Navi/DVD set up in an RSX-S. Since I liked the aftermarket set up and wanted to save some money as well I went with the non Navi.

Oh by the way, no one make a dash kit for our whips. No one. You have to make one for yourself or go to a good installation shop to make one for you. I have a Pioneer AVIC Z2 in mine and haven't regret a thing.

+1 on that one, I almost said "meh, I can do without". I am sooo glad I pushed through and took the extra time to find one with. For me at least, completely changes the entire driving experience. It isn't that having navi is so great, it's just this navi is like an entire system upgrade. The best I have seen.

He's been trying to make one since April.

I had to make my own. Look at Post #12

It's a Metra kit 95-3528, Pontiac GTO 2004-2006. I have a spare set of trim pieces I want to fill/paint/fab to fill-in and eliminate the knob cut outs

Same for me. Had a Garmin permanent mounted in my RSX-S and just moved it over to the TL non-navi. My room mate has an 04 Accord EX with the navi which uses the same software as the 04-06 TL's, Garmin's is far superior. The interior definitely looks dressed up with the nav, but I don't think the money is worth it. Get a non-navi with lower mileage for the same price and buy a Garmin. Just my 2 cents.

the navi option in toronto was very slim.

and 04 with navi went for 17k with 160k kms on it...

you can find 04 non navis for 14k with 120k kms on it... is it really worth the 3k CAD?

You CAN find a TL with Nav at a decent price.... But you have to look for a while though.

I wanted the Nav just because I didn't want that huge empty looking spot in the dash staring me in the face & reminding me something is supposed to be there...

I'd say it tacked on about 3 extra weeks looking for a nice used TL with navi that had low miles with a reasonable asking price. They are out there, just gotta look.
