spend the money for a V1. It's easy to hardwire and remote mute makes it really nice.

I've got a V1, had escorts.

Top three are the V1, escort 8500 x50, and the bel rx65. They're all good enough to save you if you're driving sanely. Nothing will save you if you're doing 100 in a 50 zone.

The V1 is really nice, worth the extra money to me, but like I said they're all good.

Check out http://www.radardetector.net/ if you really want to get confused.

I have the bell and it works great with a remote mute button. Blue tooth/cell phone is not impacted - if it the detector goes off when you are on the phone the other person will hear it. I got mine from ebay for about 30% off retail - great price.

From past experiences I would recommend getting the V1. Its expensive but in my opion worth it, my friend let me borrow the V1 when i went on a trip and it worked great. I am also considering buying a V1 since I started commuting to work.
