+ the standard RF 20-30% underrated factor. Class A at 84% efficiency - hell yeah.
I had some CXS65-2 in my wife's TL before I put some K2s in there. Very nice set for a silk dome, and I usually don't like fabric domed tweets very much. They can work as comps or as co-ax, although I glued a cap onto my 6.5 for a bit more punch. Mine were called "chameleon," but I don't know if the current sets are called that.

This is probably the best time to buy all of ID's remaining stock. In the coming months, the brand is gonna go to shit just like re did
Para, pass whatever you're on

That is true but im mainly looking to do just front components, sound deaden, amp, and possibly/hopefully the 3sixty.3... From what I read, just what i listed does wonders.
#85
But please just stop posting here its annoying everyone trying to learn from the discussion.

Agreed. I would love to buy the remaining old stuff. Once the new guys get their hands on it, there will either be cost cutting or redesigns or both making it crap.

Ha Ha your post keep getting entertaining. You're the onlyone recieving help. Everyone else have upgraded their cars. I cant wait to see your set-up.

I know, just saying that if you went with that amp, you have the power there for you when u get a sub.

LOL>>>(o) haha. If im the one in a social gap shouldnt i be asking a bunch of people i do not know about my car vs asking my friends at Acura and my neighbor that owns a car audio store? Im not the one lacking. My Aviation Psych class never mentioned the shit you just posted. Since you say you have "your guy" at your city wtf are you posting these questions for? Just ask you "boi"...he he!!! stop commenting about me. Your are taking your own thread off focus. Not me.

I picked up 5 pairs of the xs 65 mids before they were taken down from woofersetc.
1 of the better 6.5's that can work well with horns.

I'm sure they are good speakers but do they fit in most applications? The tweeters seem to sit high above the woofer. I bet they sound good.

No,but woofersetc seems to still have them(just checked)

A little update...
p-200-2 -$68
p-300-2 -$83
As for the processor he still has to ask what the final price for that to be. He also quoted the 6.5 components but i don't think im going to go that route. Im going to NYC Thurs-Sat so hopefully next monday I can start ordering the fosgate stuff and get the ball rolling! I'd assume the majority of you would go with the p-300-2 due to it being that cheap, BRAND NEW. Now i just really need to start figuring out what components to go with, man I really wish there was still some quality shops in my area with a sound board. I may have to take a shot in the dark with the help of you and other friends with speaker suggestions.

Yes, thats what I planned on. Sorry for any confusion. Im going to post the prices of EVERYTHING hopefully tom. I guess this promo through RF is only for the installers for DEMO cars, but i'm going to order before the promo ends.
So as of right now i'm thinking...
1. Power-300-2
2. 3Sixty.3
3. Sound deaden doors (which material is unknown right now, have only experience with dynamat)
4. Front 6.5 components still up for discussion. For just the front components I want to stay under $300 if I can.
If anyone has any other options, please feel free to lay them on me. As i've said before I have ZERO experience with processors so this will be new to me. From what I have read most people tune these themselves or have shops do the tuning.

Sept.
As far as components, i'd choose the massive's for 180 paired with the power t600-2
Or the massives paired with the t1000-4ad
The latter would save you more down the road since you won't have to buy a new amp, nor have the car taken apart to have the new amp installed.

Sept a long ways away. Id still be satisfied after adding an amp and after market front components though without the processor right? This stock head-unit requirments are killing me haha.
I wonder if he could pre-order that .3 hmmm....

Are those midbass the same that come in this set:
http://cgi.ebay.com/CXS62-V-2-IMAGE-...item19bead4825
Did I gain anything by capping the mid and removing the center nose looking thing? It felt better to do it. I guess that it doesn't matter since they are just collecting dust.
OP - there is no T300-2. T400-2 and T600-2 are what they have. At least get the T400-2.

You might as well just use the crossovers that come with your components if you are only going to buy a 2 channel amp. A processor will be better if you run the comps active off of a 4 channel amp. Maybe these guys know how to get process using a 2 channel and 4 speakers, but I have no idea.

Are which midbass's the same as the CXS62? The RK6's? If so, then they look close but the RK6's has a little bit bigger diameter. My RK6's are built extremely well and look like a high dollar speaker! I'm impressed

That center nose thing is called a phase plug. I would've left it on.

The t400-2 is only 120x2 @ 4ohms & 200x2 @ 2ohms. That's not that much at all for quality components. They will handle them with pleasure, and ask for more. It's all about headroom too...better to have more and watch the gains then not enough and create distortion, etc

Power compression(heat)
Passive crossovers sucking up power. 20-30w in some instances
EQ boosting of frequencies (3 dB boost requires twice the wattage)
Go for as much power as you can afford. Ideally, you'd want to have excessive power on tap so the amplified signal doesn't clip on extremely dynamic passages. This is why i kept telling i hate cars to give 300w to his midbass and 150w to his midrange and tweets.

Also, you don't know what kind of components you will be buying. If you had some highly efficient components, then less power will go further. Unfortunately, there are a lot of inefficient components out there in your price range that will really need a lot of wattage to get driven correctly.

UPDATE:
Well I as im pretty much sold on the t400.2, im getting ready to order the front components. I've looked into a lot of the speakers you've all had experienced with in these threads. Seems RK6 and ID 6.5 all seem to be talked about. I'd like to have something ordered by the end of the week so please put your thoughts/best route to go. I prefer a good clean tweeter with detail. Not looking to spend over $300 on the components though.

I just about pulled the trigger on the HD 600/4 but I talked to someone that has run one and apparently on a good set of comps, there is an SQ difference between this class D and a good A/B. Currently looking for an A/B or H that makes some decent power. This 75w for the midbass and 40w for the mids and tweeters is no longer cutting it. I could also do a 600/4 bridged for 300 each on the midbass where the SQ wouldn't matter quite as much and get a good A/B or H for the mids and tweets.
2 600/4's would be awesome. There honestly aren't that many amps out(that i know of) that'll give u a nice amount of power in a small package.
If space isn't an issue, there's soundstream, dls, zapco, sundown, and a bunch of others that escape me at the moment.
If space is an issue, the vibe audio litebox is a decent contender.

That amp will probably be birthed about 150W+ at 4 ohms and 300w+ at 2 ohms. Since you will be using the crossover, I think that 150W to the massives would be fine.
Get a set of ID CXS62. They are pretty good for silk domes:
http://cgi.ebay.com/CXS62-V-2-IMAGE-...item19bead4825
I have a set that was used or a month if you are interested - PM me.
Focal Polyglass would sound good on 150W. They have more detail than the ID would. They are super efficient and make more sound with less wattage.
FWIW and IMO, the HD 600/4 is not even as clean as the slash series. The difference was barely noticeable with the TN 52s, but with the TBE and TN53K in both of my cars, you can tell a pretty big difference.
