Amplifier Mute question
Question for anybody who has replaced the stock amp with a new one.. Did you lose the nav mute and the HFL mute? there is an amplifier mute wire going into the stock amp, this is why i ask. thanks

I very highly recommend going before the amp and bypassing it completely. I used a 4 channel JL Audio in the trunk for the front and rears, the line level from the HU was perfect for it, very clean.
I plan on recycling the old factory amp as a center channel amp. I did not lose any functionality whatsoever not having the mute line hooked up. As of right now, when using NAV, I don't have the voice prompts without that 5th channel running. With a speaker hooked up directly to the line-level center channel, I can hear the voice, faintly, so I'm sure that it'll work fine once I get the other amp in there.
Rip that thing out! You'll be happy!
