Unhappy Amp/sub installed, no sound - help!

Recently had a JL 10W6 and and JL 500/1 temporarily installed in my 07 TL/nav while I wait for Uncald 4's custom enclosure to arrive. The stock sub was unplugged to power the new amp/sub combo but it only works when the car is on. I have no sub/bass when running on accessory power and it sounds terrible. How do I fix this?
Installer was a friend of my son who had 8 years experience at Tweeter and I thought there would be no problems.
Should I be looking for another installer? Help!!!!!

He pulled the trigger wire from the wrong spot. Honestly it's not a bad idea, I have mine the same way. The battery will not last very long at all with the engine not running and the sub on. At least this way you can listen to it for a while in the accessory position. It should work in the "on" position with the engine off.

To make the sub come on with the key in the accessory position, you have to find a trigger point that's hot with the key in accessory. I can't remember off the top of my head where most people grab the power from but I've seen it posted before.

you could just get a multimeter and test open fuse slots in the fuse box and see if any are hot with ACC on and not when the key is off. I havent done it yet with my TL but thats how I wired in my radar in my old truck. On the TL I have my amp remote wired to a wire coming out of the power mirror switch harness- I forget which color it is though. It comes on with ACC and ON

the problem with the 07 type s is that you have to remove the rear ANC(active noise cancellation) plug its in the rear dome light.

1) pop off light covers using jewels screwdriver or butter knife just be a little gentle but not scared.

2) two screws located on either side. unscrew them using a phillips i believe

3) the wire is fastened by a B**** of a zip tie... patience is key.. i was very fustrated by this... but basically you have to unplug this wire or all 07 type s owners who do an AM amp/sub install will experience weird thumping or
