The factory amp in my 04 TL is beginning to fail. Like many others the output is getting weak and it seems to be worse when its cold. As the amp heats up the volume comes back - partially.

Does anyone know what components go bad? Maybe capacitors?

Does anyone have the amplifier schematic they could share?

I highly doubt you can find the schematics. Use canned compressed air turned upside down to freeze the suspect components and a soldering iron to heat them. Yes, I would start with capacitors.
