Amp Issues
Amp Issues
First of all, this is my setup:
2005 Acura TL
Pioneer DEH-80PRS
Hertz HSK 165
Digital Design 2510
Arc Audio KS900.6
I took this system out of my civic that I just sold, and was working perfectly fine the day I sold it. The only difference is the headunit and new set of wires.
So on to the problem. I installed everything and went to tune the system with my friend, he turns the gains up, maybe a 1/4 turn, on the front speakers and the amp goes into protection mode, throwing a Code 13, which is a repeated short. Fronts and Sub are bridged. Not bridged or bridged, when turning the gains up for the fronts, it'll throw the amp into protection mode. Turning up the gains on the sub is fine. Any idea on what would cause this? I've checked all my connections and can't find anything wrong with them. Any ideas/information or ideas to diagnose on this is appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian

Is it in protect even without the RCA's or speaker cables connected?
Check/Replace all fuses. Even if they don't look blown, they could still be open.
You sure you're ground, etc is all good? Pics of this stuff to ensure it's okay would be good..
