Always on Ppower Source.....

I was just wondering if someone knows of always on power source near the center console or maybe the front passenger side?

I need one for the memory power of the DVD player under the passenger seat.

Thanks

behind the radio/navi there is a constant power wires, and there are a bunch in the passenger kick panel

on the navi it should be the white/red wire for constant, and the yellow/red is the Accessory wire
behind the navi screen it's a 14 pin connector and would be pins 5 and 6

on the radio the White wire is constant and yellow/red is the accessory
behind the radio it's a 20 pin connector(light blue) and would be pins 2 and 10

The kick panel would be the best....any more specifics? is it labeled like a fuse area?

BTW As I told you before, I got the same dvd player as you. Did you put your under the passenger seat? I think I remember you saying that you did.
How did you avoid that little thing that holds the mat down? It is giving me some trouble when trying to mount the dvd player there.

i couldn't fit it under the front seat so i put mine in the glove box, and hooked up to the wires behind the radio/navi unit. nothing is labeled when it comes to the wiring, everything is color coded.

didn't take any pics, but you ned to cut holes out to fit the wiring in. i would have rahter put it under the seat, but it was impossible to make the face of the DVD player face the front passenger

Which way do you have it facing? can you fit anything else in there?
Is it secured in any way or just sitting in there?

You could try using the constant power I used for my lighted door sill install, but I believe it is using a 7.5 amp fuse, and you will probably blow it. Check the passenger page at http://www.sbadesign.com/acurazine/sills/

I think I am going to use the 12v constant power you mention near the bottom of your DIY. The one behind the glove box...thanks for the great DIY!
