Alpine pxe-h660

I am having my install done Tuesday (4/20) and going with the Alpine pxe-h660.. the shop quoted me $1100 installed with 1 pair speakers 2 amps and a sub. Do you think this is a good price, and has anyone had any experiences good or bad with the Alpine piece? The shop highly recommended it over the clean sweep because of its "super customizable" EQ

whats your ?

So I finally got my car back today.. and I have to say I'm not that impressed. The Alpine piece isn't bad, they have a steering wheel module that enables the vol control, but you lose the track up down func. It also comes with a remote for changing the bal/fade, volume, sub up down, etc which is kind of nice.

The install is clean. I guess I'm just not that happy with the overall sound quality. All of my equipment was much louder in my last car, Subaru Impreza.. but I can see how that is possible. Also, I had the two 6.5 Focals installed in the front doors... and the guy left the front stock tweeters hooked up as well --- thought it was kind of odd? Any comments on that?

I'll see if I can post some pics tomorrow of the whole setup.

i tried a similiar unit on my tsx and ended up havingt them take it out and installing a different headunit in the lower cubby area. The stock HU is still in place up above.

if u wanted to keep stock HU and get some sick EQ and power check out the install below
