Question Aftermarket Alarms ?!?

I just picked up my 06 5AT NBP TL and i really want to go top notch security. I had an audiovox 996A (i believe now they have a 997A) on my explorer and tsx. I want to add it to the TL but i dont want to lose the window roll-down.

Any suggestions on a good 2WAY Starter/Alarm.

I want to go either Audiovox 997A or Viper 791X. Anybody have these alarms ? can you keep all your features (obviously not the memory)

Hi I have a 791xv I have a 6spd so I also have the NSS (neutral safety switch installed) I have roll up and down windows and Memory1 is activated from the remote. The installer played around and got my memmory to work. I love the Viper because I broke my remote two times and had the 2way remote exchanged no cost to me from the installation shop.

I'm also curious about an aftermarket alarm. Which one also has a good shock sensor and maybe a pager or digital display or somethin' on the remote keychain to alert you if it's going off?

For the Window roll up, do you know what they did. Because the 791xv and the 997A have several chanels, where u can usually add the trunk release and things like the window roll up, but both alarm companies make a seperate window module, did they use that ? or did they just patch the OEM one into one of the channels.

oh and Jumpman45, the new Audiovox 997A allows you to adjust the shock sensivity from the remote, i dont think the 791 can, and i know the 996A can't

oh and for the memory, i read somewhere on this forum before that a guy had his installer run a tap from the memory button into the unlock button on the driver side door, so it retained the memory, but obviously for only one of the two memory settings.

anybody else got good info on these alarms ? i dont see too much on here about aftermarket alarms / remote starts

Blackura,
I would really be interested in finding out what after market alarm you end up getting, and the plus/minus of that aftermarket alarm.
Thanks.
