adding a video source

i know that there are ways to add additional video source(s) to utilize the naviscreen; however, i'm wondering if there is an inexpensive way(s) to add a video source. I have backup camera on the '08 navi system. It is possible to interrupt the rgb signal that is send from the navi unit to the screen but how do we do it in an inexpensive ways? Please enlighten me!

I dont think so. I think the most reliable way for you to do it would be to just fork out the money for the DOMS unit. It looks like you have an 08. I dont think you would want to take it to the dealer with your harness all hacked up and ask them to fix it when you could just fork out a few pennies more now and plug it in within an hour or so. Just my $0.02

No, you're not being cheap. They are a little expensive. The amount of work that is already done for you though is worth it. I held out for a while and finally just broke down and got one.
