Adding a navigation unit

I just recently purchased a 2005 TL with no Navi.
But I was just wondering where would be the best place to get an original Navi. system installed to my TL... would it be through Acura? How much do they usually charge? I don't want to spend too much....

04 Non navi to navi questions

I have a 2004 Auto non-navi TL that I'm seriously considering doing the conversion to. I have a few questions and have seen jptl04's conversion threads.
Do I have to buy both the nav screen and cd disc changer so that they're matched the same year or can I get just a nav screen from the 04-06 years?
Same for the trunk mounted disc reader - does it have to match the nav screen as far as year or will any from 04-06 be ok?
I love the wiring harness I see on Ebay but $675 is way out of my price range - this is the one that Royce has put together. My budget is about $1200 for everything with me doing the install myself. Any suggestions on cheap places to get parts besides Ebay? I've done head units, amps, other 12V car wiring so I'm comfortable doing it. Thanks so much for all of your help!
I also pm'd this to jptl04, just waiting for either someone here or him to reply...( :

3G TL Wire Harness

Geekeng.com -- you can buy the connectors you need and do it yourself. The 22-pin connector will be available very soon! Also, the complete 3G TL wire harness kit is available as well.

its really not that hard if you get the cable from martin and the parts from a local junkyard or from martin himself. if you get them from a local junk yard you might save yourself some money but the harness from martin is so easy to install and works great, ive installed them into a couple of TLs already including my own and it was not hard at all as long as you follow the instructions and take your time. the harness martin makes makes the job alot easier.

Geekeng Contact

If you're looking for the raw connectors and pins, I still have them. I'm too busy to make the entire wire harness or pigtails, so you're on your own there.

You can contact me at geekeng [at] gmail [dot] com
