Adding Nav

I have an 07 TL Non Nav and would like to add it, is it possible to do so and how hard is it? I saw a few on ebay but don't want to spend the money if it's a pain.

I saw a few posts recommending a tablet which looks awesome but I don't have the patience to do it and my work pays for my cell and don't want to add a plan for a tablet in my car.

Thanks

Well I know this wouldn't be the cheapest route to go, but I had called my local Acura dealership and they said it wasn't worth it. They informed me that it would cost more than the value that it would add to the car due to having to mess with stereo controls and a rewiring of the center. I saw a couple posts where they put tablets in for a couple hundred. I'd say go look at that option. Hopes this helps

Well the dealer was right in one regard. For the amount of value it would add to the car it would not be worth it. The fact is, nothing that we do to our cars is done to add value to it, we do it because we want it done. I wouldn't pay more for a used car that had a custom exhaust, intake, had lots of engine work done and was lowered. I would do those things to my own car. I hope that makes sense.

I don't exactly know how hard it would be to add a nav system to the TL. I added a factory nav unit to my Dodge and it was plug and play. Took me all of an hour total.

Smartphone? If so then why not just use one of they many nav apps right on a phone. I'm more than pleased with using Google Nav in my TL. (iPhone users seem to really like Waze, personally I can't stand it.) But if you want all the other voice activated features that come with the Nav upgrade to the TL then I guess you would have to go the upgrade route. IMO it's a bad investment.

Check this out https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/im-soo-excited-just-completed-my-non-navi-navi-conversion-diy-included-747456/ I've done plenty of installs in my day and spent more hours than I care to admit curled up in trunks and upside down underneath dashboards. I don't think I'd want to do this given all the other ways to get navigation in a car.
