Adding another video source to Dom's unit

Im currently running a dvd player + backup cam and would like to add an ipod video.

Does anyone knows where i can get an Auto A/V switcher that doesnt require install an additional trigger switch to activate the source inputs ?

Basicly automatic detect and switch between two inputs . Cant fine it any where online or local.

With this setup, i'll be able to control ipod video through steering/HU buttons using mine existing USA-SPEC dock cable.

THanks advance.

THanks for the quick respond.

Jensen switch are manual or trigger by wires. I am looking for a fully automatic switching.

Example:
Switch to dvd when dvd is On
switch to ipod video when ipod is On
Priority device On when both devices are On.

I did found some but none are rca connector.

Thanks for the offer, but i found an auto switcher and ordered from japan.

Nice not to have to press an extra switch for ipod video or another input source. Pretty much installed and forget it + an additional audio input as well.

Works fine with my usa-spec hon2y in hybrid mode.

to me the jensen unit was complete failure after two units. finally decided to fork out the money to get a kenwood switcher.

Just got it. Can someone help me host pics. I'll pm pics of the switcher.

Switcher are alot smaller than i though, just 4"x2.5"x1.25" in side.

Also switcher doesnt required Batt+ like other, just ACC and GND wires tap to cigarette lighter.

Well worth $80.

There is an easier solution. All I did was split the video input on the doms with a "Y" adapter. As long as the DVD player is off, the ipod video will be displayed. Use an auxillary input adapter (such as PIE X3) to switch between audio.

I can ensure you that y splitter are for output only.

If you accidently have both on, it can damage the weakest device which is the ipod. Also weak video signal.

Doesnt like the idea of pressing to many switched.

I also soldered 2 wire from dvd accord fog switch to activate CD-Changer HU button at the same time for Dom's + USA-Spec. It works just like stock dvd.

I'll draw some diagrams soon for however interested.

i just used the pac video switcher. 2 inputs and 6 outputs so you could hook up multiple monitors and it also amplifies the signal. works great for me. i toggle between iphone video and dvd player. i know you want an auto sensing device but its only one little switch. and its under $50
