Smile Acura ELS factory speaker system???

My factory TL ELS unit great but I feel with the ANC on it is unbearable to drive because you can not hear the engine at all!!
Also when you want to impress the ladies and wind down the windows the sound does not really project more than 10 feet from the car...... Is this because of the surround sound setup or the factory speakers, or maybe I'am not using the right
cdrw disc??

You might want to try another method to impress the "ladies". The TL's stereo is pretty good, but not overly loud. Hey, its a disguised Honda. Appreciate it for what it is.

if you want to impress people, get a good sound system in you car so you can hear it in your car, and get a trunk setup to play music everywhere...

Every time I built custom setups, my main reason was to bring the rich sound inside the car... I've used wooden enclosures on all doors,trunk..the car was fully dynamatted... You wouldn't hear the music from the outside..only feel the bass, like most high end vehicles. The high and mids occupied the interior..the low frequencies only from the eclipse sub in the trunk.

I miss that car

But I understand the op...we have plenty of retards driving around blasting some crappy music from their nasty speakers.. I hate it.

Is it possible to change the factory sub without disrupting the ELS surround? An if so what amp and sub do you recommend?

Kinda off the subject - But I think I blew one of my speakers. Anyone know a good place to purchase original speakers? Or should I just get all aftermarkets installed?

FYI...I am selling my OEM speakers if interested, not posted on BM yet.

And DJANZ07, I upgraded all my speakers + sub and the system is better. Just beware....dont replace with 4 ohm speakers or you will lose power. Factory is 2 ohms. And, ANC is disconnected with aftermarket sub.

Finally somebody that actually helps, instead of just making fun of my question!!!

Hey bro thanks, where did you get them installed and where can I find 2 ohm speakers!! I guessing not at your local best buy or something else like that!! Also do you still retain the surround sound, and does the factory unit have enough power to push the upgraded speakers, including the upgraded sub?
