Ability to edit/change the factory hands-free ringtone?
I did several searches and have found nothing so i thought I'd ask the pro's.
Does anyone know if the factory ringer for the hands-free can be modified?....and if so, how?
Thanks

Apparently, in the 2006 TSX, you can select a ringtone for the HFL (I assume it's from a list of factory presets).
From the article: "A number of neat setup options for HFL include selecting a ring tone or a prompt for incoming calls and lock-enabling the system"

Not really an answer, but it does give me confidence that the system can be hacked into and modded.......now to find out how......

Don't feed the...WTF?
I've changed mine...... to "You have an incoming call"
Not sure that it can be done - but I'm sure there might be someone out there eventually that will mess with the files and find a way. I'm guessing it's low on the totum-pole of things though since we still can't get ECU reflashes outside of like 3 churches in SoCal.
Edit: Just saw the post above. I'm assuming you all realize that we currently do have the option for a ring, and one for announcing the incoming call (mutes the radio, says "You have an incoming call'. Other than that, someone would need to hack the file and seed their own ringtone.

Keep Right Except to Pass
1) Say "System."
2) HFL asks you to say either "Setup" or "Clear."
3) Say "Setup."
4) HFL asks if you want male or female prompts.
5) Answer whichever you prefer.
6) HFL confirms your choice and then asks whether you would like audible notification of an incoming call.
7) Say "Yes."
8) HFL will ask whether you would like a ring or a prompt.
9) If you say "ring tone," the ring sound will play over the speakers when you receive a call. If you say "prompt," the HFL voice will say "You have an incoming call" when you receive a call. (If you said you don't want audible notification of an incoming call, the audio system will mute when you receive a call, and "Incoming Call" will display on the MID, but you won't hear a ring or an announcement.)

x 2.
I had it on the standard ring, then changed it to the voice call notification about a while back. When a call comes in, the audio stops, you may hear your phone ring/vibrate and then the female voice announces the call- less jarring than the ring tone for me.
