6x9 speakers

Has anyone ever put 6x9 speakers in the rear deck of a 2004 Acura tl ? Was there a lot of cutting needed ?

I know some people have, but it needs a lot of work....you will have to make a 6.9 bracket that fits your speakers and then use that bracket over a 6.5 bracket to get it to fit....a lot of work....

GL and post some pix if you do end up doing this...

if you are modding so much you might as well do something with the rear deck cover....

why dont u just go 6.5" and save the headache ?

Agreed, what are you trying to gain? An 8" has about the same surface area and might be easier to fit but again, there's pretty much nothing to gain. I have a fairly good system and I still have the stock speakers in the rear.
