55w HID's

Was wondering if anyone is running 55W HIDS in their headlights or fogs? And if so any issues?

I'm sure peopl ehave but to be honest, is it really necessary? Acura OEM ballasts are some of the most outstanding in terms of brightness and longevity. Get some CBI's in there and maybe clear your headlamps if its blurred over. 55W bulbs and ballast tend to burn out faster due to the higher wattage = more heat.

What exactly are CBO's? I was just wondering. I want to get a brighter bulb.

Osram CBI is a 5k bulb, one of the highest lumen rated bulbs for 5k color.

Where can I get this? And is it dual beam? And can I get them for the fog lights?

I found them. I'm guessing they are high / low beam?

Using 55w bulbs with 35w ballast is useless. If you're going to get 55w bulbs make sure to get 55w ballast to match. I had Phillip 55w with 55w ballast in my s2000 retrofit and it looked great, but not worth the cost.

If I was doing 55W I'd obviously get both ballast and bulbs at 55W.

If you want to risk melting your thousand dollar headlights, go for it. Osram CBI with zkw lenses. It doesnt get any crisper and brighter than this, without risk.

I ran 55w blast ballast and bulbs for 2 years without any problems. As long as you use good bulbs you should be give, don't use cheap branded bulbs.
