4th gen nano and usa-spec
4th gen nano and usa-spec
My old 2nd gen nano crashed. I now have a new 4th gen nano. The problem I'm having is that I'm getting a message on my nano that says this device is not compatible to charge the nano(something like that), I had charging capabilities before with my 2nd gen. What gives? I tried different dip switch settings, but I must not have the right combination, or is this possible with 4th gen?????
It's because Apple likes to screw repeat customers... Any older charging device will not work with the newer iPods (I think pretty much everything released during or after the first gen iPone). I also have the USAspec and it won't work with my new iPod Touch (2G), but I also have the skipping issue with the USAspec, so I need to change that out anyway.
Does anyone know if the Dice adapter charges the newer iPods? Also I have the Dice mount that splits the video out, but that doesn't work with the touch either, anyone have any luck with the new iPod?

Misfit - you may want to check in with USASpec. From another thread, I understand they were coming up with a low-cost solution to the "charging" issue; $15 for a new cable fo some kind. Also, according to csmeance, the "skipping" problem can be fixed with a cable replacement as well (although I haven't tried yet and I also have the "skipping" problem).
Off to Dice I go...
They wrote back to me... But im not going to be the first one here to buy one.

Sorry to hear about the support issues. Hopefully, for their sake, it was just a problem with e-mail getting through.
