I searched and got 10 pages of crap. I'm sure someone has replaced the factory sub in the 3rd gen TL. Which sub did you replace it with?

I have a question, anyone ever build a box to go under the stock location sub and use a diff aftermarket sub.

 

This was my first thoughts when I started my project. Upon investigating the rear deck I realized this will take alot of work. Underneath the rear deck there is a metal U shape crossmember that will need to be addressed. There are alot of holes for seatbelt anchors among other things that will need to be sealed. All this to fit a 8" sub. IMO, not worth the trouble.
