So is there anyone out there who is selling for less than the ridiculous $185 for a new disk? I've looked but not seen anything, but I thought I should ask before coughing up for it.

I bought a used 2005 Acura and the 4 year old disk in there is pretty out of date. My house is 3 years old and not in there!

Thanks

check ebay for version 3.7 or something, I upgraded from 3.30G to 3.5 for 5 dollars since a member here upgraded to 3.7 and had no use for their old disk. Someone might be forking out the money for 3.8 and you might be able to score 3.7

how do you know what version you have? My 07 TL Type S was built 11/06 so I'd imagine I have an older version too. I'd love to get my hands on something a bit newer that also recognized my home too.

Go to the second setup screen and select "System Information".

the private sales area here, or the bay--a few years old is better than nothing,
or grin and bear it- buy the new one

register on acura.com- I got a coupon in the mail for new disc at $150

Those who complain of the disc price must not own handhelp gps units- which also require updating--
though its cheaper to get a new unit these days than pay for the upgrade maps on them!
200 is just part of owning the TL
Wait till it needs brakes~ then complain about cost~

Gave up and ordered from Acura....$191 total. Just does not seem to be a cheaper way with this one. In my previous vehicle, a 2008 Altima, I was able to get an updated disk for $20... Sucks but oh well. At least I'll be able to see the street my house is on

acura and alpine figured this moneymaker out years ago- each car year and model needs a different disc! no interchange (in general)
