Is there a way to view the roads that are in the 2021 maps?

 

How would that be possible? Haven't gotten it yet, Heck, I just ordered it

 

no new disc for me it will screw up the Angry Dad nag delete and custom splash screens

Called HERE Technologies, the company that sells these disks twice now to get a straight answer on the status of my order. They're actually WORSE than calling ACS, if you can believe that. First, I got a girl whom I gave my order # to who proceeded to keep asking me a bunch of auxiliary questions that had little or nothing to do with anything. Although she was nice, I felt like I was talking to an invalid. I was getting frustrated and asked for a supervisor who told me they ship Fedex Smartpost. On the order screen, it says United States Ground. I asked him WTF does that mean? I informed him that I could walk it to NJ from TN faster than that. He said he'd see what he could do to upgrade the shipping as a courtesy and he'd see about changing it on their order screen to be more 'informative'. Think any of that actually happened? HA! 2nd time I called this morning, I got a guy who took almost 5 minutes to find my order once I gave him my phone # and then my order #. According to Fedex, it'll be here Saturday, a total of 8 days from the moment they shipped to get to NJ from TN.

Like my father, the WWII US Army drIll Sargent used to yell, "YA DEALING WITH GOD DAMN IDIOTS!".
Am I crazy, or is everything getting like this nowadays?

Fedex Smartpost is effectively Fedex subcontracting it out to USPS and .. without getting into the politics of it all, USPS has been lately.. So now you know why it's taking so long.

 

They offer free shipping now. Expire 05/31/2021.

 

Just called them back. Got a guy who denied they're giving free shipping on Acura products. I advised him that it's on their website right now so he had to check it out. Once he saw it, he put me on hold, checked it out with a supervisor, and got the approval to refund me the $3.95.

 

Ordered mine on Thursday and it was delivered on Monday. I'm located in Canada

 

Ordered mine on Thursday also, Fedex.com shows delivery this coming Saturday. That's 9 days total !

 

You can see what's on their map system as of now via satelite view. Doesn't have the publix built last year in daytona beach or the crazy margaritaville! Imagine spending 300K+ dollars on a 150K house to live in a retirement community... Cataract surgeon's office in the community has golf cart parking for residents who ride over on their little carts.

Fedex.com just yesterday changed my delivery date from Saturday, February 6th to Tuesday, February 9th.
That's a total of 12 DAYS to go from TN to NJ !!!What's wrong with this picture???

Did you receive your disk? I ordered my disk on 02.02.2021. Went to check the order status today. Got this message " No order exists '.

 

I know this question is dumb... but would this be any kind of improvement to an 07 TL that has probably never been updated, other than obviously having new information? Like do you think this would make the nav usable in 2021 or are you essentially still just polishing a turd?

 

An updated disk would have road changes and the according routing to go with it. 14 years worth of information updates is worth the $149 for a new disk IHO.

The only turds being polished are those remaining '04/5/6 Nav systems, and ACS is doing the polishing!

Thinking about buying this update for my 2008 Type-S. Any chance that the map gets updated for 2022, given that the 3G TL is getting a little long in the tooth? Since the year is almost over, debating whether or not I should wait for the 2022 update if they decide to make one...

 

If you feel like waiting. The 2021 disk is so updated over the 2014 disk that I had before, that it's got all the updates I need. I'm sure there will be a new disk for 2022 since the 2012 RDX takes the same disk.

How are the map graphics on the disk? Does it look more modern, or same as the original maps that came with the vehicle?

 

Since I don't know what the maps looked like that originally came with the '07/8, I can't answer that question as I have an '04 TL that was converted to the '07/8 system. I can tell you that they are far superior to the '04/5/6 system with more readable updated maps and more points of interest to boot!

Further proof that Acura realy ain't doing squat about this clock/calendar problem which means if even you have a 2012 RDX or 2012 Accord, you're SOL! At least until August anyway, but still no more map updates for a 10-year-old car? Acura continues to push me into something other than Acura for my next vehicle. Lexus wouldn't treat their customers this way. In fact, I'm taking a look at the new NX300 rather than an RDX.
