I just got the 2011 Orange disc to update the navigation system on my 2005 TL and went I inserted the disc it just blinked format a few times and than ejected it....
Has anyone ran into this and know what the issue might be?

First thing to try is cleaning the disc reader. Go to Radio Shack (or similar) and buy a CD Lense Cleaner disk and run it trough a couple times.
If that does not work, you can send the unit out to be fixed for like $150.
