Title says it, found a good deal on the newer HFL. Mine died(caused battery drain and constantly said "booting") so I unplugged it. The mounting looks the same and the model numbers are similar but not the same... will it work?

No, they have different connectors....

Also could u email me on where you found the part and how much? I may need to replace mine.
