Unhappy 2007 TL-Type S HFL Issues

Hello all,
I have read through some threads posted on here and I can't seem to find anyone else having the same issues that I am having with my handsfreelink 07 TL-S. I am not having any problems with it draining my battery or anything like that but every time I navigate to the handsfreelink and select it, it will not get past the "booting up" screen. Also, the buttons on my steering wheel for talk/answer/back/end seem to be doing nothing. I select the talk to try and pair my phone with it and there is no sound telling me the car is ready to listen to me. I also tried holding down the buttons for ten seconds for hfl diagnostics but nothing happened. I read somewhere that It may help to disconnect the hfl module then plug it back in fifteen minutes later or so, but I haven't tried that. I just purchased this car in August and I would like to pair my iPhone with it. Any and all help is appreciated!
Thanks.

It is likely the previous owner already disconnected/removed the HFL card.

Yeah bro, it’s dead.

welcome to the club. Mine quit and I removed it and it still says “booting up.”

Replace it or get an aftermarket system, I recommend the BT45-ACU. It’ll do phone and audio

Mine did the same thing despite never killing the battery, the HFL is toast.
