2007 TL-S remote start question

Hi, I am thinking about installing a remote start in my car. they have it on sale for 129$ including installation. But the shop told me that " Extra fee may apply if vehicle requires interface module installation". so my question is that does a TL type S need interface module installation? by the way, the remote start brand name is Automate AM6.2.

I'm sure they should be able to tell you if they look up your car. As far as I know you need a bypass module. I don't know much more than that though. lol. If you search some of the other remote start threads, you will find out what I'm talking about.

You will need the bypass module. It's for the factory anti theft system. Maybe you would be interested in the viper smart start. That's what I have and I love it.

honestly that deal is crap!
if your going get a remote start why not just get a 2way remote start and alarm unit with shock sensor all in one?
with the one your talking about is 1way where you dont know if your car started. I think its a bad deal and you need regret it. I have been install car alarms for years , your best bet is Viper. You can add so much to there alarms to suit your needs.

You need a data interface to control the factory anti theft and the door locks are data controlled as well. You can hard wire the locks, but the data connection make life so much easier.

Honestly, I would not trust a $129 remote start install on any car, let alone my own.

The data module by itself that I used on mine was $90. I just can't believe someone who is getting paid at most $40 to install that system will do even a remotely good job.
