2007 TL JL Cleansweep Install Help!!!!

Hey Everyone,
I am new to this site but the time I have spent here has been very helpful. The only thing I haven't been able to find much solid help on is installing a JL Cleansweep. So here's my setup and problem:

All I currently have is a RF amp and two 12" mtx subs that I want to connect to the factory HU. Eventually I am going to add another amp and replace the stock speakers and that is why I am installing the cleansweep. So, I have the cleansweep installed and should be correct. I found a wiring diagram on this site and used it for the install. I tapped into the input wiring of the factory amp. I just cut the wires right before the input harness and made all my connections. After a calibration, all my lights on the cleansweep light up green telling me that everything is working properly. My problem is that the master volume knob doesn't work at all and the subs are not working either. There is power to both the volume knob and amp. So basically, the cleansweep is telling me that it is working properly, but nothing is. I have no idea what would cause this. I am no expert. I have some basic knowledge and experience but I have never worked with a cleansweep before. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!!

Take it out and rewire everything. You don't need a cleansweep in a 3G TL. The pre-amp signal is full range and very flat.

If you want to keep it, it will be impossible to help without knowing which wires you connected. Which ones did you use? Colors?

I was told that I did need one if I wanted to add amps for aftermarket speakers and subwoofers. Regardless, I already purchased it and have come this far, so I am going to try and work with it. I called crutchfield today since that is where I got it and they seem to think it is a defective unit and are sending me another. The wiring diagram I used is the last picture in post #26 in this thread:

I am hoping it is a defective unit, because I am at a lose if not.

those diagrams are for an 04-06 TL, the 2007 system changed slightly. The part no. for the amplifier changed so I'm thinking that the wires changed as well thus making the new one not backwards compatible.

That could be part of the problem but the wires did match up exactly. Also, the cleansweep calibrates itself and passes. One other test I tried is disconnecting each wire at a time to see if the speaker itself stopped working, which each one did. So I am pretty sure I have the correct wires. It seems more like there is something else keeping it from functioning correctly.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 07 TL? This way I can be 100% sure it isn't in the wiring itself. I am still hoping it is a defective cleansweep but I won't know until I get it on wednesday.

Thanks everyone for your help so far!

That diagram is right for the 07 and 08 too, I believe.

I can assure you that you do not need it, but it won't hurt either.

Thanks....I might as well since I already have it. I will probably add in an ipod adapter to the aux connection of it because I don't like how the stock on is in the bottom of the center console.

What do you recommend using to add aftermarket amps for speakers and subs. Standard LOCs?

For a good setup, just wire the speaker wires into RCAs.

For a great setup, then a real processor like a 3sixty, Bitone.1, MS8, or the like, where you can process the signal.

I have noticed that the 3sixty is discontinued at a lot of places (crutchfield for example). Why is that? This was the 3sixty.2.

3sixty.3 is due out pretty soon at appears to be a large improvement including self tuning and then further customization.
