Ok, I get my 2007 TL (replacement for the '06 that got wrecked) and the first thing I see is that the navi now has a blue text layer with mobile home park and tract home names. Everywhere I go. Why on earth would someone buy a $40K car and want to see "SINGING SPUR MOBILE HOME PARK" largely displayed in caps (and nicely rotated to horizontal as I drive)?? And the irony in all this is that there are NO mobile home parks anywhere around here...

Anyone know how I can dump this layer? It's really getting on my nerves...

They came out with an updated navi disc for the phoenix area. Talk to your dealer, I think its a free upgrade.

Info on this disk is so old it doesn't even have the correct location for the dealership I bought it from - and they moved over a year ago~ But darn if I don't know the location of every mobile park in Phoenix~

Lembowski, when did the update come out? I just got the vehicle 2 months ago, and I have to go back to the dealership anyway... my deck lid spoiler came unstuck again (already had this fixed once)... Every time I go out there it's 30 miles one-way so I'd like to get everything accomplished with one more visit to 'service' if I can...

Haha, I was just wondering this same thing tonight. I bought my car about 2 months ago as well, and I am surprised an upgrade is needed.

Can someone post more information on this? I can call the dealership, but I am not sure what to ask for beyond "I need the non-trailer park edition Navigation DVD" :-)

Found this thread regarding DVD version 4.56A, which fixes the DST issue and the Mobile Home listing issue for people in the Phoenix area:

Unfortunately, sounds like you need to "please your case" to Acura if you want the upgrade for free. My manufacture date was 11/06, while the DVD was released on 9/06; so for my it may be a hard argument to say my car should have come with the newer version.

I may break down and buy the disc, but if I have to pay for it I promise you I will copy it and just sell it on Ebay because I think this is a bullshit upgrade that should be given to people in Phoenix for free.
