2006 TL auto NAVI disclaimer OK button does not appear

Hello,
In addition to recent DVD read errors, I'm now seeing an interesting thing. Upon startup of the car, the navigation warning disclaimer displays per normal operation. However, the OK button at the lower right hand side of the screen no longer appears. Therefore, I cannot use the navigation nor audio functions. Can anyone direct me to a web site or forum page that has information on this issue and possibly how to correct it?
Thank you

Mine began doing the same thing, along with the occasional disc read error, a couple of months before my dvd reader went completely out (Disc read error all the time). You may want to go ahead and pull the dvd unit and try to clean the reader as shown on some of the posts here. It sounds like yours is headed down the same path mine was.

Yes, mines hasn't been working for some time now. I am also trying to fig. out should I send my unit out to Alpine or just replace it with another kind of navigation system.

After much frustration and research, I bought a used DVD navigation unit and navigation DVD disc on Ebay. I swapped out my old unit from the trunk of my 2006 TL and it worked. Turned out my original unit had failed and no longer powered up. In my particular case, it was not a dirty disc or dirty lens like others on other threads had experienced. Glad I finally fixed my issue. You can try your luck on Ebay. No guarantees, but it might work for you too.

Cold weather issue with my car, as soon as it warms up the okay button appears. But if the screen gets too warm, none of the buttons in the corners of the touchscreen work. Seems the market for refurbished head units is drying up too.
