2005 TL Trip Computer
I am just about to purchase a new 05 TL with Navigation - can't wait! Can someone tell me if there is an actual trip computer - showing things like elapsed time, distance to empty, if you program a distance it will tell you when you'll get there (even though the nav may do that). Just curious. I had a BMW 323is that did this. Curious if the high tech TL does also. Thanks!

Yes there is a trip computer (not part of navi system) which will list avg mpg, avg mph, distance, time elapsed, and range (distance to empty). But you can't give it a distance like 333 miles and have it tell you when you reach that #.

Hold all three buttons down simultaneously (after the car is on of course): Menu; Map/Guide & Cancel
That will get you into the navi diag

The Nav system will tell you distance & time to reach your destination. The trip computer will tell you everything else (distance to empty, elapsed mileage). I don't think there is any way to get elapsed time.
