hi,

I was looking online at the FAQ of the Handsfree Link site and i noticed the display on the car shows the number of the person calling.

but for some reason i cannot get that options to show up on mine. AND i cant upload my phone book into some kind of directory. I asked someone with a 2006 TL and he said his displays the caller and phonebook, is there no such feature for the 2005? is there a update or something i can do to GET that option?

What kind of phone are you using? My '05 displays the # in the MID, I usually don't even need to look at the phone to know who it is. You may want to check here it might be a feature not compatible with your phone.

 

The number display is dependent on the phone settings of the caller and the cell service provider, not on any settings on our HFL system, IIRC. Most of the calls to my cell display a number in the MID, but some do not.

ahhh thanks for the replys,

that sux, i cant get ANY number to show up on my display.

it just says INCOMING CALL.

the phones that i have tried with it are

Blackberry pearl Flip

Blackberry Storm (current)

and neither of them work. or display

and my provider is Rogers wireless (Canada)

I guess i will try to contact blackberry first and see if they work with the TL, then see what wireless company has to say.

I have a BlackBerry Curve from AT&T and it shows the number of the person calling. It would be better for me if it showed the name but that is me being picky.

 

I'm on Rogers.. with the iphone 3G and number shows up in the MID

 

The number shows up but for the 05s we can't import the phonebook. Sucks don't it.

 

iPhone 2G/3G and AT&T works fine too
