2005 Radio performance?

Just bought a 2005 TL and find the radio is less sensitive than others I've had. Local FM stations that came in loud and clear on previous cars (Lexus and Infinity) are quite static-filled at equal distances from the transmitter. Is this a general issue, or does my radio or antenna have problems? (And if so, is there anything I can do about it?)

Thanks from a newbie
jim

I've had the same experience. Fortunately I don't listen to FM much.

IIRC, the embedded antennas that the TL uses doesn't get reception as well as traditional antennas but has less wind noise and improves aerodynamics.

I've found the FM reception to be pretty weak as well. However, I had a 5th-gen Prelude before my TL and it also had the embedded diversity antenna and the reception was about the same. Fortunately, I also listen mostly to CDs and DVD-As. I wish Canada had XM!!
