2005 Acura TL ELS activate?

I've searched everywhere and found all kinds of things but nothing on how to turn it on! I watched a video saying you hold the 1 & 6 CD buttons, press on, and use the 1 button to toggle it on or off, but this doesn't work. The little light remains off. Any help would be great! I even checked my owner's manual with no help! It's non-navi btw.

I guess turn it on? My light under the ELS logo isn't lit up... is it supposed to be if it's engaged? I saw a video where the guy toggled it between red and green, assuming on & off

ELS is the brand of audio that Acura uses. It is not a mode. I think you are trying to turn on the surround sound? If so, if you have nav it should be under the sound menu. Otherwise I don't know how to do it with ones that don't have nav.

If you want surround sound then you will need a DVD Audio wtih DTS format, and no you can't make or burn a true surround sound using home computer. You can turn on the "synthetic" surround sound in the sub menu of adjusting your bass and treble.
