The kenwood also has a dvd add on you can buy. I also think the Pioneer is a good unit, it has dvd, navi already built in, its not a flush double din like the kenwood, the screen collapses back into the base unit, but for $1300, you pay 1/2 of what you would for a dvd/navi combo.

Is that the SAVV rearview mirror monitor that I see in the center? I have that in my 3000GT to display navi, and it works great. The left corner becomes a color lcd monitor when you turn it on, and you can still use the right part as a rearview mirror. When turned off the whole thing becomes a mirror.

Beautifull work dude! I've never seen such high quality craftwork in a car install. Since I've never done nor owned a system like that, can I ask the approx. cost of the labor and equipment to do a job like this? We were guessing around $10,000 total, but I have no clue. The labor to do the trunk must be quite pricey so I'm curious what something like this costs.

What are the Specs on the custom box and fiberglass setup in the rear? I am thinking about doing something similar, only thing stoping me is I hate "subs" in vehicles.

Nice install on the trunk...
but definitelly overkill on the LCDs. I think the installers should have tried what I did tho =)
Xenarc 7" PC touchscreen for my carputer going in the trunk. I have a non-navi and removed the OEM display and moved it to the bottom. The touchscreen fits perfectly in the back without having to do any fiberglassing etc...
here's the pic =)

Why the HELL are you asking this question? You're 13! You can't even drive a car legally yet! I'll tell you what: you should go back to school and learn how to spell instead of concentrating your time on cars.

Do you have a line driver after the headunit? I installed that same head unit into my wifes mdx and it sounded crappy becasue the voltage was 1.5ish on the rca's. Then i put a line driver in and now nice and clean. Very nice install btw.

The trunk looks nice although almost all the trunk room is gone. I'm assuming the front speakers have been replaced and It looks like the oem speaker locations were used. How is the imaging and staging? Hopefully your system images and stages better than stock.

Yes it is possible. I have personnally done it in my wifes mdx and here is the link with it done to my mdx. You will loose your center channel.

http://www.acuramdx.org/forums/showt...threadid=19370

The mute for the TL is 5volts also from what i believe so you will need the soundgate TROGLOHD to be able to interface with voice commands. And also the alpine KAX-551N or similar for the output of your navi. In the tl it will replace the center channel.

I know your customer

Your customer had more money than sense... While I like the trunk and the Acura symbols you can get great sound in that car without losing that much space. This really kills the functionality of the car, but your customer does not care he is in to bling bling. I don't understand why the factory head unit just did not go away and put the Kenwood in its place. It would have been cooler if you could have pulled it off. The monitors in the mirrors are just more bling bling. I have been a proffessional car installer and home installer for the last 14 years. I guess I have just grown, over time, to prefer the cars where things are heard not seen where bass impact is not the only concern but overall fidelity is. Good work. It should impress all who like that sort of thing. Keep up the good work.

The trunk on the other hand is something i really appreciate. Looks amazing, and will probably sound amazing. In reply to a comment made by someone who mentioned it not having 5.1 surround... It will sound hundreds of times better. I bearly ever hear the capability of surround sound in my car unless its on a DVD-A disc. Great job on the installation, i really love it. How much did it cost for that sound system setup?
its OBVIOUSLY a show car
