2003 Navi Hack Help Please!

First my apologies in posting to the 2004+ TL forum but I couldn't find this on the 2nd Gen forum. I have a 2003 TL-S and my Nav disc is a black ver 2.20. IF I update to a current disc version (orange?) will I be able to apply the hacks listed in this forum?

Thanks in advance, I'm new to this site and I appreciate all the tips here.

Steve

As far as I know, the navigation systems are not compatible between main versions (2.X, 3.X, 4.X). So no, you will not be able to upgrade to the 3G 3.X DVDs.

I would like to upgrade to the '07+ 4.X DVD as well, but it's not gonna happen.

I think using the software, you can just change the startup image and thats it for your black 2.xx dvd.

Thanks!

I was afraid that this would be the response after I did more research and discovered that I am stuck with the black series of DVD's. Well a better startup screen is something to fiddle with at least. Thanks for the responses!
