has some one tryed hooking up an amp to the exsisting sound system and a sub woofer....?


i took mine to a shop and when they hooked up a 12'' jl audio sub and a rockford fosgate amp.....when the car is off and in ignition it sounds peferct....but when the car is on u hear a thumpng sound.....but when u open a door it stops?...... they went from 9am to 4 pm trouble shooting it and nothin.....

has anyone experianced this problem or know a solution? please help thanks!!!!!



its a 2007 tl - s auto w/ navi

so bottom line....just disconnect both front and rear mic's?...or just rear?.... kinda confused?....thanks for the quick responses..........

What kind of subs and amp did you use for your TL-S i have one too and am looking in to throwing 2 (10's) maybe. ANy suggestions? oh yeah and is this an easy self install or is a shop recomended?
