I've successfully paired the Tour with my 08 TL and it has been working for several months now. Recently when I was about to make a call using the TL HFL, it won't allow me to make an outgoing call. It says that the "phone is in use" which I think says that the phone is already is in use and cannot be used to make any calls.

I tried deleting the device in the Tour and reseting everything including the phone, but the problem is still there.

I know the phone is the problem because I tried it on the Acura loaner I have now and it's doing the same thing. Right now I'm having the dealer replace the Bluetooth unit in my TL.

Has anyone experienced this before in their Acura HFL?

 

well if you have isolated the problem to your phone as opposed to the TL's HFL. Then why are you having the HFL unit replaced?

I know this might sound silly, but have you tried turning off your phone and turning it back on?

And if you have, have you tried pairing another cell phone and seeing if it can make outbound calls.

those 2 things should tell you if it's really your HFL or your phone.

 

Initially I thought the HFL was the problem b/c when I had my 04 TL I had connection issues too, and I got the HFL replaced and that worked fine. When I got the loaner MDX, it resulted in the same problem, so the phone is the culprit.

I've tried all obvious ways of reconnection short of wiping the phone clean back to factory defaults, and I really want to avoid that.

Hopefully someone can chime in for any more tips.
