Hey everyone new here and I’ve been really looking into upgrading my stereo in my 08 TL with navigation that I got back in July. What I would like to do is replace all the factory speakers and add a 5channel amp. So far this is what I was thinking about adding. Front doors Polk Audio db5251, center Kicker KS35, rear Polk Audio db651s and the Pioneer TS-SW841D shallow sub to replace the factory sub.Boston Acoustics GTA-1105 amp and the Audio Control LC6i 6-channel line output converter. Any input would be great. I already installed the usa spec IPod. Doing the work myself is not a problem. Would like to know what everyone thinks and any ideas would be awesome… Tim Clovis,Ca

First, I'll ask what your goals are with this system and what you'd like to spend overall. I find that upgrading (or even using) the rears is just a waste and throws off the sound stage. Are you using this sub setup to save trunk space or what??

I would like a good clean sounding system. Adding a sub in the trunk is a option. My budget is around 2000

 

You set on doing the rears? A lot of folks turn them off or way down when upgrading.
