'07 TL-S CD's won't play.
I just bought my TL-S about not even a month ago and I have indeed came across my first issue. I have roughly 37,650 miles on the car. The CD player worked great. Played all of my Cd's. Most of them are normal cd's that hold 20 or so tracks, and then I have two MP3 cd's which hold 120 songs or so each. Not that it really matters. It wont play any in general at this very moment.
My cd player yesterday at one point randomly just said DISC FORMAT. And would blink that on the climate control display. And then I took all the Cd's out and put them back in and it worked again. Now today, I start up the car in the morning, the cd I had in it plays fine and it's working as it should. Then I put a new Cd I made in it and the thing since then hasnt been playing ANY of my CD's. I did the same. Took them all out then, put them all back in. Then I got a brand new legit cd from an artist and it STILL didnt work. So now i'm stumped. I'm pretty sure this should be covered under at least the 4yr 50K Acura Warranty. Thoughts and a possible way to fix this easily would be fantastic. But seriously... What the hell. I just got the car. I had 123K on the other TL and it lasted just fine in the CD department. Haha..
PS: Mods sorry if I didnt posted this in the right thread: The problems and Fixes section would maybe of been appropriate.

I had a problem with my cd player not too long ago. When I tried to play a CD, my cd player would go haywire. Started making these weird sounds. I took it to the dealer and they said my cd player was defective. Got it replaced under the 4 year/50k warranty.
Sounds like it could be a warranty issue.
I haven't had any trouble just copying MP3's onto CD and burning them, but I think some recommend either +R or -R discs (I don't recall which) and/or certain burning software. Nero, I think is on that's recommended.
And NO stick-on lablels.

It's weird though. This is an on and off issue. Like I will wake up some days. Boom I change the cd wont work. Then later in the day everything works fine. Then out of nowhere it stops working again. So it's deffinitelly nothing to do with the CD or the kind of program I am using. Because even normal CD's dont work. When it stops working. It STOPS 100%. Then im listening to crappy radio quality the rest of the day. It's dumb... lol. So I guess I'll take it to Honda sometime. See what happens from there.

Okay so the CD player stopped working again. Should I take it to Honda? or Acura. Acura is 1hr and 20 mins away. And Honda is 30mins away. Should Honda be able to do basic 50K warranty stuff on an 07 TL-S? I have 39K currently.

Anyone have further info on this? It started working again. But it is really getting on my nerves I pay 25K for a car with barely 40K on it. And it's already got an issue. I had 121K on my last TL and I used the shit out of that CD player. lol!
I had my issue solved after getting the radio unit replaced. My issue progressed into the panel lights not lighting up when I had my headlights on. There were times where it would light up, but stay lit even with the key out of the car. Turns out the issue was outlined on a TSB. Here it is, number 07-028:
http://techinfo.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/B07-028.PDF
I brought a print out of it to my dealer and they didn't want to honor it at first since the TSB is from the States and I'm in Canada. That doesn't make sense to me since the car is made in the States but whatever. I had to call Acura corporate and ask if I could get it replaced out of "goodwill consideration". Luckily they did, I just had to pay the dealer 1 hour of labor to replace the unit. I said I could do it myself since I had previously taken my dash apart to get the radio itself diagnosed but the dealer wasn't going to offer warranty if I refused their install. I figured might as well pay for the labor since it anything goes wrong down the road, I can get it replaced again without much hassle.
I would find it bizarre if they don't have any remanufactured audio units in stock. It was covered under a TSB after all so I imagine they would have been ready to swap numerous units. Good luck mrclwskb!
