'07 Acura TL with Navi/XM PA15-ACU XL

I've been doing some reading on ipod adapters for my new TL. Wondering what everyone else has and how they like them. I have Navi, XM and live traffic but they are both not subscribed to.

What does the audio/nav screen look like when using the ipod?

Thanks guys

I personally use the USASPec acuxl and it works great. No complaints. Sound quality is perfect, has an extra AUX input if you ever want to do dvd/game console/media player. Install was very easy also. mounted it under the passenger seat, fits perfectly

A little update on my install. Everything went very well with the unit. Installed very easily in the truck and I’m able to retain all of my steering wheel controls . Found out how to change songs with the channel button on the steering wheel from a tip on the forums, just hold the channel up or down button for a few seconds and it will change the song in the playlist and not the playlist itself. A very cool feature that USASpec said could not be done. Overall, I’m very happy with the product and ease of installation/use.

Thanks guys for the help.

So when swithching back to XM radio, I'm having trouble channel surfing through my presets, on XM 1, which is still there if i-pod is unplugged as well as XM 2. Changing channels sometimes doesn't work at all just stays at the same channel number and audio, sometimes the audio changes but the channel number stays the same, sometimes the channel number changes but the audio stays the same, then it says on LCD screen as well as Navi screen that it is loading??? Am i doing something wrong?? Do I need to cycle out of XM to like FM then back to XM, or what????

I bought this PA15-ACU XL unit a few months back and its been a pain ever since. nothing is wrong with the unit itself, its just the functionality is all backwards. You have to use the tune up/down buttons to search through everything, and you use the tuner knob to switch tracks.

I am selling my unit and going with the Peripheral PXAMG/PGHHD2C.

Just installed the I-simple unit. you still have to use the tuner knob to dial up and down, and you have to keep the unit in the trunk, un-like the USA-Spec that you can put closer to to the front. Both units work, I just like the I-simple options better.

Both still fail at steering wheel next track selection. you still have to hold the button instead of pressing it quickly. technology fail!
