Hello,
yesterday i was driving home. when i tried to play a song from other CD, the CD player tries to change to that CD, but it couldn't. all i heard is clicking sound and an error massage on the lcd "disc error". I can't eject any CDs. Today, nothing displayed on the LCD and i don't know what to do. My warranty ended already so i can't take it in. Does anyone know what's wrong with the CD player? FM, XM works fine, just the cd player.

a cd migh b stuck.... but try disconnecting the battery for like 30 sec or so...gives time for the radio to reset and see if that ejects any of the cds.. if that doesnt work, take it to your local audio dealer/installer and see if they can figure it out.... good luck

 

I had a similar problem, I needed a new unit, about a grand to replace. Make sure you replace the radio with the exact part number for your car. Beware of sellers of radios on Ebay that claim their radio will work even though part numbers don't match. I learned that the hard way and ended up going through the dealership instead. More money but less hassle.
