My Roommate wrote this for me
2004 Acura TL Sub and Amp install WITH factory deck
OK, my roommate said she comes here all the time and looked all over the web for this information. She said the members of acurazine.com would love this information. Well here it is. No pictures, but here is all the basic information you will need as far as wiring goes which seems to be the big question.
First off run the Power wire through the firewall of the car. I used the rubber plug on the driver’s side with the blue wire going to the interior. Run that to the interior and stop.
Second open the kick panel on the passenger side and you will find the stock amp. Look at the several wiring clips and you will see a green clip. In the green clip on the corner there is a yellow wire. That’s the power wire for the navigation. Tap in to that for the remote.
Third run both wires to the trunk. Its fun getting the wires from the back seat to the trunk. I hated this step.
Forth you need to remove the cover in the trunk for the rear deck lid. It has 4 or 5 pop in clips and 2 that screw in. once down you will be able to see the sub. The sub has a wiring clip facing the driver’s side. Unplug it and strip all the tape and wire loom off. Now tap in to this for the hi low converter. I call them the cheat boxes. Tap in to that and plug RCA’s in to it and there you go. Now zip tie the cheat box to the car so it wont rattle or hang.
Lastly find a ground and plug it all in to the amp and the sub in to the amp.
DONE
Hope this helps. May not be the best way but it hits hard with the 2 10’s I used with a Fosgate 1200 amp. Pictures of complete project coming soon. We played with it when tuning and opted to not use the factory sub at all. It just sounds so much better with out it.

thanks for the information. My setup is tapping into some wires before they reach the stock amp. If might be the sub one. All i know is that mine is preamp rca converter. Yours seems to be a postamp rca converter. So i guess you are running the signal through the stock amp and then re-amping it in your Fosgate. I might try that sometime and see if it works better
